Cyrus Deboo is a Managing Director and founding member of Sonenshine Partners. He has advised companies globally on mergers, acquisitions, strategic partnerships and financings throughout the US, Europe and Asia for over eleven years.
Representative transactions include the recently announced $430 million sale of drugstore.com to Walgreen, the strategic alliance between drugstore.com’s Vision Direct subsidiary and Luxottica Retail North America, the acquisition by Essilor of Signet Armorlite, the acquisition by Binda Group of Geneva Watch Group (licensee to Kenneth Cole and other global brands), the $340 million sale of 1-800 CONTACTS to Fenway Partners and of 1-800 CONTACTS’ ClearLab contact lens manufacturing subsidiary to Menicon of Japan and Migwang Contact Lens of Korea, the $420 million sale of ABAQUS to Dassault Systèmes, the $300 million sale of Manufacturers' Services Limited to Celestica, the $1 billion sale of Structural Dynamics Research Corporation to EDS, the sale of Alcoa’s Spanish light gauge foil manufacturing operations to BAVARIA Industriekapital, and the sale of Alcoa’s Alcoa (Shanghai) Aluminum Products Company Limited subsidiary to Yunnan Metallurgical Group.
Prior to joining Sonenshine Partners, Mr. Deboo worked at GE Capital, where he was involved in a range of strategic and financial planning matters. Mr. Deboo holds a BA cum laude with distinction from Yale College. He was born in the US and is also an overseas citizen of India.
